for those few of my watchers who do care, this is for you:

An update on the progress of Wakerra's Story: I know in the past I've seemed to have had a habbit of year breaks inbetween my chapter posts. mostly due to writers block and sheer laziness. that and I was scraping and adding ideas all over the place. for those of you who may have noticed, I've managed BOTH chapters 4 and 5 not too long ago. I'm also rather happy to say that chapter 6 is in the making, and currently about half way done. I've plotted a course that should hopefully get me through the rest of the story before 2011. I dunno exactly how many chapters will become of this, but by the looks of things I have to plow through, I don't think I'm exactly half way through either. mind you all again whats being posted here is just a really rough sketch of the story. I keep adding ideas the further I go, so if some chapters don't add up, just ignore it and go with it. I'll go back and fix everything after I get it all down. in the mean time, expect Wakerra's Story Chapter 6 shortly

on a side note, I went and edited my previously named Story of the Oodu (its now Encounter with the Oodu) I got a bit of feedback from some other deviants, apparently it wasn't so much a story as it was a concept/scene. I added in some more details to it so it really stands out now. if you haven't read the revisions yet, its here [link] I'd like you guys to read it again, I put a lot of extra details in it, lemme know what you think of it

....not really....just not in the Christmas mood is all. I'm really sick and tired of the whole commercial feel of Christmas. sure it was fun when you were younger and "santa clause" came and that "magical" morning and all that, but when you get to be about my age and you at it, (specially after working retail) you've got kids around the world who can't celebrate Christmas, whose families (like mine) are split and too poor to do anything. kids who still believe in the magic of Santa Clause and never get the chance to have him "visit" their house. Christmas has turned into such a greedy holiday, get the best deals last minute, gimme toys etc, and the world is so paranoid about touchy feely and religious no-no's that we really miss out on the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas isn't about getting that toy you always wanted, almost wrecking you car getting that last minute special at Wal-Mart, stampeding through the doors for the Door busters. Christmas is just as it says in its name. "Christ"-mas. its about Jesus's birth and what he brought to this world: our salvation. if it wasn't for that momentous day, none of us would be able to return home. the real home. Earth is just a temporary state, full of just enough materials for man to live, learn, explore, learn and grow. Christmas is about the joy of giving, seeing others in need and helping them, just as Jesus did. Jesus gave all his time and love to help others, can't we do the same for even just as small as one day? forget about the world and deals at stores and help another in need? and why must this be brought about only once a year? why must Christmas be the only time we give and help? Jesus gave his ENTIRE LIFE to helping others, and what do we give? from Black Friday to Dec 25.

I apologize to all of my good friends, your X-mas gifts will be a little late this year. I'm going to be doing some stuff by hand for you guys, and its gonna take some time to get them all done (that, and coming up with ideas ) Hopefully soon though I'll have them completed and send them off to you. First off, I wanna apologize to everybody I watch and haven't said anything. I have become quite a silent watcher myself, i still see your stuff, read your comments, but I don't really fave/comment/reply as much as i used to. I also want to apologize to anyone I may have pestered about looking at my stuff/featuring me. it seems my cravings for attention are getting the better of me. I dunno why I feel the need for so much attention, even when I get some of it I just want more, and yet I can't even bring myself to give you guys proper credit. I shall try to tone this attention craving side of me down, I shouldn't be forcing this on you guys, I'm sorry.

With that out of the way, I'll take the time for just a little update:

Wakerra Chapter 4: Morg has finally been written. after almost a years worth of silence, I'd have to say its one of the better chapters and I'm quite proud of it, even in its sketchy form. good news is, I have enough planned out for Chapter 5 and it will be written and posted in the near future, bad news is, after that, I'm at another stump and it'll probably be another year or so until chapter 6 rolls around.

I've signed up for a 3-D animation tutor at my school! My animations teacher even recommended me best for the position when i inquired about it. It pays $9 an hour, things are still in the process of rolling around (technically, there wasn't even a POSITION for 3-D animation tutor, so its going to be going around pretty soon) future looks kinda bright in that area, apparently theres a mess going on with the teachers at school, seniority teachers are getting first pick and taking the animation classes for next term, but none of the teachers know this stuff. they're just taking it cause they can. I was lucky to get the BEST animations teacher of all of them for this last term, sadly he won't be teaching again the next. this one teacher who was supposed to be laid off just gave a fuss and ended up with the position. so hopefully, with all this mess once word gets out, I'll be able to help some fellow students

commissions are still open if anybody is interested. not trying to push this on anybody anymore, just if anybody wants to give it a shot. Doing comissions will REALLY help my art and especially for the field I'm going into. I need to get familiar with drawing things for other people, things that aren't always Anthro, Namion, etc. if anybody is interested, heres the details:

for penciled and markered pictures, the size of paper is 11x14 penciled picture: $10-25, depending on how detailed, how many characters, added background etc. (examples of my penciled work [link] [link])

Colored marker picture with colored pencil (for finer details): $25-40, also ranges on characters, backgrounds etc. (examples of my markered work [link] [link] [link])

Photoshop: for sake of time and uploading etc will run $40-60, could go higher depending on background details etc (examples of my photoshop work [improves every picture] [link] [link] [these are in the works of getting updated])

Sculpy: depends on how complex the figure is and size wise, could range from $15+ (examples of sculpy work [these were made with sculpy III, Sculpy works from here on out will be made with wire bases if necassary, super sculpy, and painted with acrylics] [link] [link] [link])

Yes, I'm still looking to get some commissions in. You guys have seen how much my work is improving, and even how some of my redone pieces are turning out. My college allows me access to Photoshop so I can get some better quality stuff up here. True, though my work may not be Hibbary quality and beyond, but that doesn't mean I'm improving. I swear to the best of my ability ANYBODY who commissions me I WILL put in 110% of my skills and effort to make the piece worth the cost. I will do research if necessary to get the right look on subjects I'm not practiced with. I have a variety of areas I can commission, here is a list of those areas and price range
